On 11 February, we were delighted to host an Old Port Regian alumni drinks reception at the splendid Lansdowne Club in London. Despite a touch of February drizzle, more than 50 OPRs gathered for what proved to be a truly joyous evening, filled with warmth, laughter and a strong celebratory spirit.

The event brought together alumni spanning generations, creating a wonderful sense of continuity and shared history. There was plenty of reminiscing about school days at Port Regis, with old friendships rekindled and new connections formed. One of the highlights of the evening was welcoming our most senior attendee, who began at Port Regis in 1948. He captivated guests with fascinating stories from his time at the school, offering a vivid glimpse into its past and sparking many conversations across the room.

At the other end of the spectrum, we were thrilled to see a group of 2021 leavers in attendance. Now just beginning their journeys into the world of work, many were reconnecting with Port Regis and the OPR community for the first time since leaving. It was particularly special to see recent leavers engaging so enthusiastically with those who had gone before them.

Overall, it was a lovely evening that perfectly captured the enduring spirit of the Port Regis community. We are already looking forward to hosting many more gatherings like this in the future and continuing to strengthen the bonds between Old Port Regians of all ages.
