Many thanks to former PR family, the Seabrooks, for their recent assembly about one of our school charities, Foundation of Goodness. Amanda and George told the children about their recent family trip to the project in Sri Lanka, where they took out the cricket gear and stationery donated by PR pupils, and they showed photographs of the Sri Lankan children receiving their donations! They also showed pictures of the plaque on the school building that Port Regis has helped to build after the community was devastated by the tsunami. OPR George delivered much of the assembly and we were thrilled to welcome him back to school (with special thanks to Canford for letting him come and talk to us during term time). The project is a great place for gap students to spend time at so do contact The Foundation of Goodness for more information. Port Regis will be fundraising for this charity for one more term and we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of this fundraising effort; it is wonderful to see the difference it is making.
